  • The parade will take place on Christmas Eve (12/24/2026) and begin at 4:30 PM and go till 10:00 PM.

  • We understand that many neighbors have enjoyed seeing the parade pass by their homes in previous years. This is the fourth year the parade has been produced by a new organization, and we’re continuing to build and grow the parade each year.

    There are several factors we have to consider when planning the route, including the overall time available for the parade, maintaining a safe and consistent parade pace, traffic and street conditions, volunteer and production resources, and available funding. A longer route also means more time, staffing, and resources are needed to safely operate the parade from beginning to end.

    Our goal is to expand the route over time as our volunteer team and funding grow. We’re doing our best to reach as many families as possible throughout Toluca Lake and the surrounding neighborhoods while keeping the parade safe, organized, and enjoyable for everyone.

    For now, we encourage you to bring some hot chocolate, gather your family and friends, and park near the closest point on the parade route to your home. We hope you’ll join us and celebrate the holiday season along the route!

  • Yes, but we will post street signs where parking is unavailable to avoid delays in the parade. Please be mindful of corners and tight spaces to avoid any parade delays or blockages.

    If you live along the route, please bring in your trash cans and don’t park your car on certain streets or corners.

  • It is currently being created and will share the route once it is completed.

VOLUNTEERING & PRODUCTION STAFF

  • Production Staff Volunteers help bring the Magical Holiday Parade to life behind the scenes! Depending on your role, you may assist with event setup, float preparation, costumes, volunteer check-in, organizing supplies, production logistics, decorations, parade operations, and other day-of-event needs.

  • Opportunities may include Production Assistants, Event Staff, Float & Parade Setup, Costume Support, Volunteer Check-In, Parade Operations, Marketing & Outreach, Social engagement & Content, and General Production Support.

  • No. Production Staff positions are volunteer opportunities and are unpaid. The Magical Holiday Parade is made possible through the generosity of community volunteers and supporters.

  • Absolutely! We need help with preparation, float decorating, organizing, setup, cleanup, and breakdown—not just on parade day.

  • Yes! Let us know when you sign up, and we'll do our best to accommodate requests based on production needs.

  • Some Production Staff opportunities may be available to teens depending on the role and supervision required. Please provide the volunteer's name and age when signing up.

  • Yes. You'll receive information about where and when to report, your responsibilities, and who you'll be working with.

  • That's okay! Tell us about your interests, skills, and availability, and we'll help find an opportunity that's a good fit.

  • Yes! We welcome skills in event production, project management, marketing, social media, photography, costumes, decorating, logistics, organization, and more. Tell us how you'd like to help!

  • There are opportunities before, during, and after the parade. Let us know your availability when you sign up, and we'll find a way for you to contribute.

FLOATS & PRODUCTION

  • Item descriptionFloat decorating will be from December 12-December 24 located at Radford Studios. To help, please sign up in advance here. 


    Post-production strike of the parade will be from December 26-28.

  • Absolutely. We appreciate any or all help decorating the parade. Remember to sign up ahead of time so we know you are able to get into Radford Studios. Once you sign up, we will connect back to confirm your decorating date and time slot. We are also always looking for production staff to help on-site for the days we build the floats.

PERFORMERS & COSTUMES

  • In addition to the day of the parade, dancers are expected to attend at least 2 pre-parade rehearsals as part of their commitment as performers. Rehearsal dates will be posted soon. *There will also be a costume fitting before the parade.

  • Yes! For anyone who signed up for a position in SignupGenius, we will be gathering information and will reach out to specific individuals to confirm their position and costume size. Be sure to check your email!

  • Yes! Teens are welcome to participate as parade characters. However, anyone riding on a parade float must be 18 or older. Participants under 18 will participate as walking characters and must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian for the duration of the parade.
